HOW IT WORKS

  1. You may meet SFC requirements and be eligible for financial compensation If:
  2. You live with the person as a primary caregiver.
  3. Are related biologically as a daughter, grandson, etc. or related through marriage as a daughter-in-law , son-in-law etc.
  4. The person you take care of is Georgia Medicaid eligible.
  5. Please note that spouses of a waiver participants and legal guardians are not eligible for compensation.
 
 
 WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE CARE?

The person you take care of must meet the following criteria:

1.     Need assistance with daily living activities such as feeding, dressing, 

         bathing and more.

2.      Be Medicaid eligible in Georgia.

3.      Be the participant in the CCSP or the SOURCE Waiver Program.

4.      Lives with the Person providing their care.

 

WHAT DAILY TASK FOR TAKING CARE OF A FAMILY MEMBER QUALIFY FOR STIPEND?

Caregivers May Qualify by Providing daily Tasks Examples are:

  1. Meal Preparation
  2. Eating
  3. Bathing
  4. Dressing
  5. Getting in and out of bed
  6. Transportation to and from appointments
  7. Moving around in the house
  8. Getting in and out of chairs
  9. Other activities of daily living.

 

 

STRUCTURED FAMILY CAREGIVING PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS FOR PROVIDING CARE AT HOME:

To qualify as a family caregiver under the Structured Family Caregiver Program you must:

      1. Be dedicated to providing caregiving services at home.

       2.  Cannot have employment outside the home.

       3.  Cannot run a business from the home such as a on-line store.

This means payment for services are direct deposited into your account weekly.
